Backstory
With a lifelong passion for sport I chose to study Sports Management at Loughborough University and graduated with First Class Honours. During my time there, through many voluntary opportunities, I turned my hobby of video production into a career.
Two weeks out of university I was hired as a junior video producer for Seb Coe’s London Sports Agency CSM, working for global brands, governing bodies and international athletes under the tutelage of an esteemed former Sky Sports Producer.
After an incredible time at CSM, I chose to explore the exciting freelance video production industry. Highlights included covering the 2015 Rugby World Cup, documenting the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team visits to play in London and travelling all around Europe and to America to film ski and snowboard films for major brands, companies and resorts.
A mutual friend introduced me to incredible Director and DOP Ben Marlow in summer 2016. We began to work together more and more often, realising that together we could combine our respective experience in sport and wedding filmmaking (where in both working fast and taking on multiple roles is key) to form a production company offering our clients a high quality service producing better films, faster with a lean two-man production crew.
Through this approach we began taking on longer form documentary projects. Our film ‘Why Row an Ocean’ won ‘Best In Festival’ at the Four Season Film Fest before turning our attention to team sports.
Our documentary productions include ‘Everybody’s Game’ [Amazon Original], ‘No Woman No Try’ [Amazon Exclusive] and the Docu-Series ‘Prep to Win: Harlequins’ [Amazon Exclusive] as well as a series of mini-documentaries for the BBC.
In 2022 Jack was accepted as a member of the Documentary Producer’s Alliance, an international coalition of Documentary Producers throughout the world.
In 2023 Jack directed and produced ‘Game On: The Unstoppable Rise of Women’s Sport” in collaboration with leading Women’s Sport Activist Sue Anstiss, MBE. The documentary was released on Netflix in June 2023.
In 2024, we collaborated again with Sue Anstiss on “Abbie Ward. A Bump in the Road” documenting her journey as an international rugby player returning to play 3 months after giving birth. The documentary was acquired by ITVX and RugbyPass TV.
Our latest production is “FIGHTERS” a disability equality documentary produced in collaboration with leading disability equality advocate Michael Grimmett. It’s a subject matter close to our hearts and one we are very passionate about exploring further in the future.
